One block from the ocean, the club began in 1894 as the Women’s Literacy Club of La Jolla before Ellen Browning Scripps became president in 1901. With its legacy of women’s education, suffrage, child welfare, and community programs, the historic venue was a perfect fit for our MPH bride.
